The costumes for Halloween are often a time to use your critical thinking skills as you determine just what to wear with that costume. It’s not always easy. Sure, the traditional costume requires the traditional attire, but some of the other costumes require far more thinking and planning. So here is a little helpful list to get you to the right shoes.

Comfort First

Yes, it’s nice to wear the sexy shoes or the really cool looking shoes, but it’s all for nothing if it turns out that those shoes are going to be taken off halfway through the night as you can’t stand the way they are hurting your feet. So, if you can’t come up with a good idea for what kind of shoes you should be wearing, always look to comfort first. You cannot go wrong there.

Flats

Unless the costume is rated R, you are probably good wearing flats for your feet. They will go with almost anything, plus you are likely to find a cheap pair of flats at a discount shoe store that you can use and color to match the outfit. It’s a cheap way to design a funky pair of shoes for your costume. The bottom line here is that most of the focus of your costume will be the clothes itself. Unless you have a color that completely clashes, you’ll be fine with a pair of flats.

Shoes are not the biggest part of the costume in most cases so don’t be afraid to go a little off the beaten path. You’ll find that you are a lot happier with comfort over style.

Yes your new high heels are super sexy and they make your calves look amazing but are they healthy? Very few women equate the word “healthy” with what they put on their feet but it is an important question to ask. Are there any consequences to oh-so-high high heels?

Sexy calves that don’t work so well

High heels lack the support and structure feet need putting excess pressure on the balls of the feet. High heels also push the heel upwards for long periods of time which causes the muscles to lock and become stiff. Once high heels are removed the tendons are then stretched causing pain.

Ugly Feet

Due to a tendancy for high heels to squeeze the toes together, bunions and hammertoes are some of the ugly consequences of regular use. It’s ironic that something designed to make feet look beautiful can actually cause unsightly damage over time.

Pain

It is said that “beauty is pain” but young women who live in high heels may regret putting their body through bottom of the foot (ball) and ankle pain, not to mention the damage to the Achilles tendon that can make the simplest task unbearable. 70% of older women visit a doctor due to foot pain undoubtedly caused by past poor choices in footwear.

Even though tennis shoes are the healthiest option for feet few women will throw away their stilettos. If you must wear high heels save them for special occasions and even then, limit the number of hours of wear. Inserting gel cushions and can help to offset pain, discomfort and future damage.

If you have fallen arches then you are well aware of what a struggle buying shoes can be. Having fallen arches means that a person’s foot over pronates when they walk, causing the foot to roll too far inward when stepping down and thus stretching out the muscle in the arch of the foot. This cause it to look like there is no arch (or very little arch) when the person’s foot is flat on the ground.

Unfortunately fallen arches are permanent, and no amount of exercising will give you arches. There are however exercises that will help to strengthen the muscle. For those with fallen arches this is beneficial as they can get quite painful sometimes. Strengthening the muscle that runs along the bottom of the foot may relieve such pain and prevent it. If left untreated, fallen arches can get quite painful and can lead to other foot problems such as joint problems.

The following exercises can help to strengthen the arch of your foot.

Practice grabbing something with your toes, this will give your foot a work out and to help build strength

Practice placing more of your body weight on the outer area of your foot. Those with fallen arches tend to place more weight on the inner foot, which can help cause the arch to fall.

Building the strength in your calf muscle could help fallen arches. Simply stand with your tip toes on the edge of a stair with your heel hanging over and lift your body up and down with your toes. This will help to strengthen your ankles as well as your feet.

If anyone has ever wondered how women can accumulate so many pairs of shoes, the answer is very simple. The stylish lady will have a shoe that goes with every outfit. When she is dressed up for work, she has the business heels to match her suits and dresses. A night on the town requires a different style of heel or maybe sequined sandals and don’t forget the tennis shoes for those casual days and working out.

There are several things to consider in matching your shoes to your outfit. Color is of course one of the most important considerations, the shoe should complement the outfit. You also must consider:

the length of the heel

whether the toe is open or closed

how comfortable the shoes are on your feet

Heels that hurt or are too slick should not be paired with your favorite jeans for a night out at the club dancing.

What shoes do look good with jeans? If you like the look of skinny or tapered jeans then you need to match them up with a nice pair of boots. Try several different heel heights so that the cuff of the jeans doesn’t gather at the bottom or catch in the heel. The heel height can also give your bottom a little lift to fill out those jeans just right. This is definitely true if you wear the low rise jeans that are so popular today.

Choose a shoe with a heel or wedge that will make your legs look longer and flatter your figure.

Women across the world are always wondering what type of shoes they need to have. The choices are limitless, and the options within those choices make the decision even harder.

Finding shoes that are comfortable, multi-faceted and of course stylish are essential to every woman’s wardrobe.

Low Heeled Black Pump: A low heeled black pump is that versatile shoe that fits the bill for multiple occasions. It’s a no-brainer that black goes with just about everything, but these shoes will make you stand out for a night on the town, a school function, or even a casual dinner. Stay away from heels that are higher than 2 inches, as the strain higher heels put your feet can cause joint and back problems. You can find black pumps in various styles at sites like Offers.com.

A Semi-Casual Flat: One of the general rules for shoe choice each day is evaluating if you’re going to be standing for more than an hour. If so, the flat is the way to go. Flats can work with jeans or even slacks during a busy day at the office. Flats are also relatively inexpensive and come in a wide variety of colors and textures.

Neutral pump: Add a beige pump to your collection and your style choices will be complete. They won’t go out of style and you will have a shoe that can be worn with just about any outfit and at just about any occasion. Adding this versatile pump to your collection is a must in the ever-changing world of shoe fashion.

Yes men do care about shoes as much as women do. Most people do not realize it but men have different styles in shoes too. Just like some women do not care about the type of shoes they wear, most men do not care but the ones who do, care more than women about the styles they wear. Hence the stereotyping of men who do not care about what kind of shoes they wear needs to go.

Men have an extensive list of styles in men’s foot wear. Most men’s shoes unlike women’s shoes are comfortable and are mostly used as practical necessities rather than an obsession. Even though men have an extensive number of designs to choose from, they limit their taste to only a few shoes. Men hardy experiment with new shoe designs. What men wear for office, the same foot wear will be found on their shoes after office. Some men can’t wear anything except sneakers.

Choice for the type of shoes is dependent on the type of pants. Socks don’t have to match the shoes. Socks can be a complement to the tie. The belt can be matching with the shoe color. With jeans try sandals, loafers, sneakers, boots, lug soles, etc. The foot wear can complement the top worn on the jeans. For casual pants such as dockers, khakis or chinos, you can wear loafers and oxford shoes. For dress pants, the color of shoe needs to be the same as the suit. Shoes need to be darker than the pants to a lesser degree. Black shoes work great with grey, black and navy pants. Brown shoes go great with green, brown and beige colored pants. Tan shoes go great with blue, beige, and earth tones.

Image via Wikipedia

If you’ve been keeping up with your pregnancy week by week, and really paying attention (making sure you notice the little differences that are occurring), then you know that even in your third or fourth month, before you really start showing, you’re probably already having to consider which shoes you can wear.

This decision can come as a result of a number of factors. You may already be experiencing swelling of your feet. (If you are, mention it to your doctor. Early swelling can be a sign of a problem.) Or, you may have already noticed that your center of gravity has shifted or disappeared all together. Or, you may have noticed that wearing shoes that are too high make your back hurt even worse.

If the latter is the case, you may be tempted to run out and buy the flattest flats you can find. But that can be a bad move, too. As your pregnancy progresses, which you’re going to notice since you’re tracking your pregnancy week by week, you may start experiencing pain in your feet and legs from the additional weight and pressure. Surprisingly, too-flat shoes may aggravate that. You want shoes that have a good arch support in them, as this will help with some of the discomfort.

As for how high is too high, anything that threatens to throw you off-balance or poses a greater risk of making you fall is too high. You’ll have to put the stiletto heels away for a while. But, that’s all right, because you can start wearing them again not too long after you bring your new baby home.

Hosting a runway fashion show for teens or for your favorite charity can be both a worthwhile cause and one that can boost the fragile self-esteem of teens. The following are the steps required to host a fashion show.

First, consider your location. You need to have plenty of room for both the models to prepare as well as to walk the runway. There should be a separate private space so that the models can dress, and plenty of room for the guests to sit.

The runway itself doesn’t need to be fancy. You can rent a collapsible runway from a local rental company, or even just roll out some red carpet. The idea is that you have a specific central location for the models to strut their stuff and the latest jeans.

Rent or borrow spotlights and aim them at the runway to illuminate the models. Provide sufficient lighting to not only create a dramatic scene but also to provide safety for the guests and models.

Canvass the local high school or spread the word through the neighborhood to recruit models. You can have the models choose clothing from their own wardrobes or ask local clothing stores for the loan of clothes and jeans in exchange for free advertising.

Marketing is the key to just about any endeavor. Print up flyers to distribute, advertise in the local paper and spread the word through church networks. If you charge a nominal fee at the door to give to charity, you’ll find that you get a great turnout.

Most importantly, have fun. Arranging a fashion show should be fun and a great learning process for all those involved.

Some shoes are just not made for any woman to wear. They crush your toes together or set your feet at an unreal angle or provide no arch support.

Pointy toes boots, heels or shoes tend to come to a point at the toe and the problem comes when the shoe tries to do this too quickly and pushes your other toes into your foot. Your toes, all of them, need to be able to move around and breathe in your shoes. Shove them against each other and you have the potential for pain and discomfort.

Stiletto high heels can look awesome on women but the small heel print of the stiletto on the ground makes for danger waiting to happen. One moment of not paying attention to the ground around her and she can place her heel in the wrong location and the heel will slip sideways and pop goes the ankle. Doctors have warned against stiletto high heels for years and women continue to be injured.

The shoe that hurts the most women’s feet is the simple flip-flop. It was designed for short trips to the beach or the pool and still works well that those purposes. The problem is that women like to wear them everywhere and they give no support and no protection to the feet.

Do not wear flip-flops to run or jump. They offer no protection and often come off, thus throwing off the stride of the wearer. Shoes without backs, like Crocs, also fall into this category.

For your health, wear shoes that allow your feet to breathe and have some kind of strap across the back to keep them on as you race to catch that train.

Most people wear shoes for 8 to 15 hours a day. Ask yourself: when was the last time I had my feet measured? Our feet change shape and size as we age, just like the rest of our body. Is your waist the same as it was five years ago? It is very likely that your feet have changed as well.

Improper fitting shoes can cause many problems like your heels constantly in pain, deformed toes from being squished together, bunions and nerve damage. The feet are excellent gages of your health. Congestive heart failure can have an early warning signal sent by your swollen ankles. Diabetes can be indicated by feet that are insensitive to pain and to changing temperatures. A chronic respiratory disease can be indicated if you have clubbed toe nails.

Often knee problems are related to problems with shoes that are improperly worn. Purchase shoes that are the right size. Often one foot is larger than the other. Buy for the larger foot as most stores will not allow you to buy two different sized shoes.

Go shoe shopping later in the day when your feet are likely to be more swollen. Allow 3/8” to 1/2” from the end of your toes to the tip of the shoe when you are standing up. Expecting a pair of shoes to stretch to fit your feet is asking for pain. Would you hit your feet with a hammer every day? Of course not, so don’t force your feet into a tight environment.

Purchasing the right shoes for your feet can help you to feel great in many ways. So kick up your heels and enjoy life in the right shoes for you.

Shoes, we love them and we hate them. They protect our feet but often they do not fit us correctly. Approaching the purchase of shoes with a knowledge of our own foot type can help us to buy shoes that will help our feet to feel good.

What type of an arch do you have? Grab a paper grocery bag and put it on the floor. Step in a pan that has a little water in the bottom and then step on the paper bag. After removing your foot you will then have an imprint of your foot.

There are three basic types of foot imprints which show how your arch works. With high arched feet the front of the foot and the heel do not touch or touch just a little in the imprint. These people have under-pronated feet and they need cushioning in their shoes to cushion the shock transmission to the lower legs.

Normal arched feet get skinny between the ball and heel of the foot but are thicker than a half inch. Smaller are high arched. These shoe wearers experience the least problems and can wear virtually any shoe. A simple structured cushion in the shoe will help with shock.

Flat footed people have an imprint where the arch is the same width as the heel or wider. These feet have over-pronated feet and they need maximum support to protect against shock transmission.

Read the packages carefully of the shoes or inserts that you will use for your shoes. Look for the keywords for your foot type: high arched or under-pronated, normal arch, and flat footed or over-pronated. Buying the correct insert for your feet will go a long way towards helping your feet and legs not to hurt and give you the satisfaction of being able to walk, run, or jog where you want, when you want, without pain.

The shoe has been designed for decades to compensate for perceived problems that we have with our feet. When people walk it sometimes hurts the heel so we compensated for this by adding padding to the heel. Many people have flat feet or fallen arches so we provide them arch supports that are built into the shoe or we apply inserts to accomplish the same thing.

Look at a shoe as it sits on the ground. The toe often points up just a little bit. This helps the wearer to take the next step. Your toes naturally do not point up this way because the whole foot can move semi-independently as you walk through a stride. Because the shoe is a solid structure it cannot move this way and the toe spring is added to not have to drag the toe constantly as you walk.

High heels cause the tendons to shorten for the women who wear them. Often during the spring women who have been wearing high heeled winter boots and then switch to flip-flops experience pain in their tendons as the tendons attempt to stretch back out for the flip-flops.

All this cushioning of the feet and the heels appears now to be all wrong! Chicago’s Rush Medical College did a study comparing impact on the knees between barefoot people and people wearing padded shoes. The surprise was that there was 12 percent less impact on the knee when these people were barefoot!

We still need to wear shoes to be socially acceptable in our society, but take your shoes off at home and walk around barefoot. It will give your feet a chance to breathe and to recuperate from the stresses placed on it by your shoes. If you can take your shoes off at work, then do so.

Maybe it will become acceptable to be barefoot again, maybe not. Nevertheless give your feet a chance at health, take your shoes off.

Online dating is a great way for single women to meet their matches in terms of relationship compatibility. If you have been using an online site, you have probably already uploaded your favorite photograph to your profile as a way to show potential suitors how stylish you look.

Now that you have a date booked, you are likely in panic mode. You want to maintain a good impression without going overboard or looking sloppy. So what should you wear? A dress or skirt? A more casual outfit with jeans? The answer depends on a number of factors, from the setting to the style of your date.

The location of your date is the number one factor in terms of your outfit determination. A dinner date is the most common type of first date for people who have started a relationship through an online dating site. Even in this situation, you’ll have some variables. For example, if the setting is formal, you will want to have a polished look with either a dress or skirt outfit. If the restaurant is the local pub or pizzeria, consider wearing dressy jeans with a cute but comfortable top.

When choosing an outfit, make sure you find something that you’re comfortable wearing. The mini-dress might not be a wise choice if it rides up your body. Also, refrain from showing too much skin, and don’t forget to accessorize! Accessories can make our break your outfit. Shoes, handbags and necklaces are the most prominent pieces. Opt for pieces that tie your outfit together. Don’t rummage through your jewelry box and wear every single item in the hopes of impressing anyone. Chances are you’ll look undecided about or inept at accessorizing.

Looks aren’t always everything, but first impressions definitely determine whether you will get a second date or not. By following fashion common sense, you are half way to another date.

Women who wear high heels are easy to spot; they are walking with the “high heel strut.” Look down and there are the heels, forcing them into this unnatural walking rhythm.

Heels up to two inches are generally considered safe for the ankle and foot but stilettos are rarely safe. One uneven surface and a second of not paying attention and down she goes in a heap of pain or at least bruised ego. No matter how hot the outfit looks, when one is down on the ground grabbing their ankle, the mystique is gone.

Heel heights are going back up again. This is a pattern that seems to coincide with rough economic times starting with the Great Depression way back in the 1930’s. It seems that women use their heels to escape the pressures and to get a mental lift as well as a physical one.

The major issue with high heels is the corollary increase in foot and ankle injuries by the wearers. You might look good in the heels as they give you a step up on the competition, but wearing a cast or ankle brace definitely detracts from that look for the next couple months as your injuries heal.

If you have the need for height, keep the heel under two inches. Wedges distribute your weight better and you can wear higher heels in them. Stay away from stilettos.

Massage your feet after wearing high heels or roll them over a golf ball or ice. These tips help your feet to recover from the experience.

High heels can help you attain heights that you cannot naturally reach, but do so carefully and be good to your ankles and feet.

You have worn your shoes all day and then you take them off when you get home at night. Whew! They stink really badly.

You have bacteria on your feet which thrive in dark, damp places. Sweaty shoes are wonderful places for them, especially if you do not wear socks. The bacteria eat the dead skin and oil from your feet. Luckily only about 10% to 15% of people have feet that smell bad.

Here are some steps to try and help stop the stink. You might not be able to completely stop the smell but even reducing it can be a great help.
1) Wash your feet every day. If you have a hand held shower sprayer give your feet a good spraying every day. Make sure your feet are dry before putting your sock on.
2) Wear cotton, wool or athletic knit socks made to absorb sweat. These socks allow the feet to breath. If your feet get damp, change socks. Wear a fresh pair every day.
3) Feet sweat more in tight spaces so make sure you have plenty of room in your shoes for your feet to breath.
4) You might need more shoes than the rest of the population. Your shoes need to be fully dry before you wear them. Putting 24 to 48 hours between each wearing can really help the smell.
5) Washing your feet with antibacterial soap, putting a disinfectant spray into your shoes or setting the shoes in the sun are other options.
6) Washing your shoes or insoles will also help for awhile.
7) Do not wear plastic shoes.
8) Allow your feet to breathe by going barefoot, especially at night.

There are very few sensations that are as nice as a stroll on a white sandy beach with bare feet. But walking on the beach isn’t always as gentle as it appears. At times the sun can turn the sand to a temperature like molten lava. Then there is man made garbage of glass and other sharp objects, as well as natural garbage like razor-edged rocks and broken sea shells.

It is then a good idea to bring a good pair of shoes when you take a trips out to the beach. The goal is to have shoes that can withstand the water and sand and at the same time keep your feet cool. There are a few different shoe styles that do just that.

Flip-Flops

Designed specifically for the beach, flip-flops keep the feet exposed so that they can breathe and feel the elements, like refreshing splashes of water. With foam, rubber or even leather soles, flip-flops are also comfortable to wear anywhere. If needed, they are easy to clean with a little soap and water.

Water Shoes

For the beachgoer that wants to spend just as much time in the water as on the beach, there are water shoes. Typically made out of mesh with rubber bottoms, water shoes are perfect for wading in water and then heading to the parking lot to grab an extra towel.

Crocs

Crocs provide ample breathing room, snuggly fit the feet and since they’re rubber, can handle just about any beach terrain. Their durability make them a great fit for spending a day on the beach and around town.

Boat Shoes

For the fashionable male, there are boat shoes that can just be slipped over bare feet. They’re not the best on sand, however.

While the beach is great for wearing no shoes, there are some shoes great for the beach.

People have always striven to find an easier way to get a workout, and in less time. There has been diet pills, and very questionable diets. And there have been exercise companies that have made equipment with dubious claims of full body workouts in less time than making a cup of coffee.

However, there is something that can help shape and tone the body just by walking. They are shoes that are specifically designed to slim down the legs, and are aptly known as toning shoes. From their awkward structure, the legs overcompensate during walking, thus working themselves out. A variety of companies are joining the trend.

Skechers

ShapeUps from Skechers were one of the first toning shoe lines on the scene. For men and for women, they come in over 20 different styles. The bottoms are curved to create a rolling movement forcing the leg muscles to work. The shock absorption acts as a cushion.

New Balance

Known for its classic running shoes, New Balance has made a name in the toning market offering two different lines. They are called the True Balance and the Rock & Tone. Like an Olympian on a balance beam, the True Balance line beesf up each leg muscle with its leaning design. On the other hand, Rock & Tone shoes have a similar shape as the Shape Ups with its rolling bottom. To keep fashion sense alive, they are also available in leather.

Earth

Shoes made by Earth are environmentally friendly, constructed out of recycled materials and a manufacturing process that creates the least amount of waste. With an incline of 3.7-degrees, the toes are raised above the heel, spreading the body’s weight in one direction, activating the leg muscles.

Reebok

Based on the unstable, yet highly effective, workouts from balance balls, the EasyTone shoes from Reebok tone and strengthen the legs. Its special features include a smooth design the prevents fiction with the foot as well as an antibacterial insert.

With toning shoes, working out is like a walk in the park.

Buying a new wardrobe can be expensive, but there are ways you can dress great for less and stick to your budget. You don’t want to overspend and then end up feeling bad about it later, so take the time to make sure that you plan your spending. Then, shop around for great online deals. If you don’t determine your budget – not just how much you can spend, but how much you need to spend to get what you want and requires – you may end up out of money before you’ve gotten everything to go with your new wardrobe. After your budget has been decided upon, it’s very important that you stick to it.

There are several ways to stay focused on your budget, and one of them is to use prepaid credit cards. That way you take out the money you’re going to spend on your wardrobe, and you put it on the card. Then, you use only that card for your purchases. There’s no overspending, because the money to do so is simply not available. A prepaid card also helps to protect your personal information and keeps anyone else from running up a balance if he or she gets possession of your credit card information.

First, shop for just what you need. Buy those things, and try to get the best deals. Then, shop for the things you want with the remaining money. That way you’ll be sure that you get the things you really need to have for the wardrobe you’re looking for. If you shop carefully and look for the best deals on online shopping sites, you should be able to get everything you need and also buy a lot of what you want. You may even have left over money that you can use for something else, and that’s a great feeling.

If you have an eye for fashion and have been creating some of the hottest shoes in the world then you should be considering the idea of putting your fashion business online. With the boom of the online retail shopping you can certain find a nice place to promote your business and grow your name and your brand. You can find yourself in the next level when it comes to money but you have to do it the right way. Making a false move in the early going could hurt your business in the long run

The most important part of establishing an online presence with your business is listening to your customers. Just because someone purchased from you before, there is no reason to be assured that they will do so again. If you want to gauge the best possible information about your customer base then you should consider offering a customer satisfaction survey considering at the end of transactions as well as later in an email that they can fill out at their leisure.

For many the survey is something that is discarded, but when a customer takes the time to fill it out it can be very helpful in not just providing information, but pointed information in order to help the business grow.

You can ask your customers not just what they thought of the shoes but what they thought of the layout of the website and if they have any interest in shopping there again. You can also determine what the factors will be in bringing them back to the site. This will help you to determine what is working on the site and what needs an overhaul. A business website can be a bit of trial and error and it’s important that your customers provide their feedback. The customer satisfaction survey is a great way to tap into the potential of your business.

When winter rolls around most people have the notion of putting away their shoes and bringing out the boots for the next three or four months. But wearing only boots can at times be unfashionable and impractical when the snow melts.

Finding that happy medium between warmth and fashion can still be found in shoes, built especially for the winter. So when the snow starts to fall, instead of grabbing the boots out of the closet run to the nearest store and grab a pair of shoes that can stand up to the cold.

Waterproof

While the snow more or less comes down dry, it will eventually melt wrecking havoc as slush for any pedestrian walking down the street. For an everyday shoe for winter, it is almost mandatory that they be waterproof. That way the slush slides off easily and doesn’t ruin anything, increasing their longevity. It then makes it easier to get around by not having to avoid messy puddles. Just remember to raise those pant bottoms.

Insulated

The secret to any boot or shoe in keeping the feet warm is good insulation. Many shoe companies have incorporated the insulation technology of Thinsulate keeping toes toasty. However, there are a variety of fabrics that keep people warm during jaunts out in the cold. These include flannel, fleece, shearling and more. Some winter shoes are packed with wool and feel just like you wearing a slipper at home, except you’re out in the blistering cold.

Shoe Covers

There are many instances where dress shoes are required, so winter shoes just won’t do. That could be during work at an office or during a nice night out. For those occasions, there is only on solution: shoe covers. Available in thick rubber, shoe covers can simply slip around the shoes or can be zipped up.

Stay warm, stay dry and keep wearing shoes.

Everyday you probably spend the most time on feet at your job, whether you’re a blue collar worker on an assembly line or in an office walking back and forth from your desk to the copier. Even while sitting your feet are confined to the walls of your shoes for eight hours or more

But comfort isn’t the only concern in the workplace. Style is equally important to fit the company’s image. This is why it’s essential to contemplate the right kind of shoes that match the demands of your job. Each kind of shoe can fulfill a variety of roles.

Dress Shoes

For the classic businessperson or office worker, dress shoes are the best at transmitting the image of professionalism. The shine of dress shoes acts like a beacon relaying the message the person wearing them knows how to take care of things.

The feel of dress shoes also are one to keep people on their toes. They aren’t mean for getting too comfortable. They are constructed to let the wearer know that it’s not time for relaxing, but for working.

Beyond cubicle walls, dress shoe can be seen in such high-powered jobs as detective, doctor and lawyer.

Running Shoes

Running shoes aren’t just for professional athletes. There are many jobs out there where workers need support for their feet as well as ample traction. Running shoes are seen a lot in fast-paced environments like hospitals. Nurses especially are encouraged to wear some kind of running shoe, preferably white, so that they can move rapidly and not fall victim to long hours continuously on their feet.

The looks of running shoes in the workplace is usually irrelevant.

Casual Shoes

On the flip side to dress shoes are casual shoes that range from everyday fashions to open-toed sandals. Casual shoes can be primarily found in workplaces that are more concerned about the creativity of its employees instead of their appearance like publishing houses and some ad agencies.

In both comfort and style, the right shoes are important for doing the job right.

Ladies know that not all high heels are alike. They vary in different ways including color, style, material, shape and height. With so many distinctive combinations that can go into a single shoe, no wonder women have such a hard time finding the right pair.

Believe it or not, that is only half of the story. Since high heels aren’t an everyday shoe, women have to consider additional factors when making a decision. With high heels it’s important for ladies to combine look with functionality. So when on the hunt they should think about the following circumstances.

Setting

Women don’t wear high heels on trips to the grocery store. Instead they don them only in certain locations. Setting is one of the most important considerations for choosing the right high heels. If they are for a special gala, then something a little more extravagant should be chosen. But if they are for the office, then a classic and comfortable pair would do well.

Outfit

Shoes aren’t individual garments, but one complimentary piece to an entire outfit. Thus, it is necessary to make sure that the right high heels match the entire outfit not only in color but in texture and style. Wearing leopard print high heels with an evening gown is a frowned upon in most circles.

Purpose

Most women have a look, or a purpose, that they are trying to project with their clothing. High heels can be an asset to advancing that purpose. For example, someone looking to have a little sex appeal can easily establish that with a bright red pair.

Comfort

It’s true that most women will gladly sacrifice comfort for look, but there should be a limit. Some high heels might feel awkward causing women to walk strangely, or a pair that is a size too big can potentially generate loud noises from continuously slipping.

Ideally, choosing the right pair of high heels is done by balancing look and need. But for the average woman it’s more fun just to buy a pair and wait for the need to arise.

It’s a problem that is all too common: you find a great pair of shoes that seem to go with every clothing item you own, but when you wear them, your feet form painful blisters. So what do you do? Well, if you’re like most people, you either tough it out, either because the shoes just look too good or were too expensive, or you give up on the shoes.

However, both of these options are wrong. Instead, you should be concentrating on getting rid of the blisters. Here are some of the best strategies for keeping blisters at bay while keeping your shoe rack stocked and in style.

Use Lotion

Hit blisters at the source by using lotion to keep your feet a little slippery. The root cause of blisters is the friction created by your shoes and socks grinding against your feet. With lotion or any kind of lubricate you can alleviate the rubbing sensation.

Dry Your Feet

Walking is sure to cause your feet to perspire, and when your skin is wet it is easier to tear and subsequently form blisters. If possible take time to remove your shoes and air them out periodically, or dry them off quickly with paper towel in a bathroom. Using cornstarch on your socks works well as an antiperspirant, and try wearing socks made of a lighter fabric than cotton or wool.

Insert Padding

A lot of blisters are formed because the shoes are just a little too big for the feet. This problem can be resolved simply by adding to the areas most susceptible to blisters. Padding can be anything from foam to rubber strips to household bath tissue.

Pad the Blister

If a blister has already formed, buffer it from more damage so that it can heal. Use medical bandages or even tape if it isn’t too serious.

Change Insoles

Inserting new insoles could be the solution as they help make shoes better conform to your feet.

Remember, it’s the blisters that need to go not the shoes, so get rid of the problem without sacrificing the shoes.

However, men’s shoes are being used because of their strength and their shapes. Men’s shoes are usually tougher as compared that of the women’s shoes.

The designs of the Men’s shoes are usually being raised from their usage and the place where you require wearing it in general. We can also check the most talked about shoes which are available with us are being named after the place from which it is originated.

They can be categorized by the type it is closed. The term Oxford is also being used by some American companies to advertise their shoes which are not like that such as Bluchers.

Bluchers again is being originated in America and termed as Derbys in British where the lace is tied from either side of the leather to that of the vamp which is also known as the “open lacing”. This is also the most common and preferred method.

The other very much used style is the Monk-Straps which has a Buckle and Strap used instead of lacing in it. The slip-ons are also there with no lacing or fastening available with it.

Shoes can be made to look good in many methods and there is no end for creativity. The very commonly it is being used as the plain toes which have the sleek shape and which does not have any extra designs and shapes on its vamp.

Cap-toes are the additional layer on that of the toe made of leather which covers it. This is just the most talked about design. Whereas the Brogues are the shoe in which the shoe toe is covered with a perforated panel.

Everyone appreciates functional shoes, whether they run, bike, climb mountains, head out for a night of dancing, surf, or just go to the mall to walk around. But all these different activities are best served with a different style and type of shoe. Of course, the ‘barefoot’ shoe manufacturers would tell you that their shoes are best suited to all of these proclivities, since the foot should have minimal support to maximize its evolutionary functionality. However, while that may be true to an extent, it also becomes uncomfortable after the arch has taken an unsupported beating all day long. Additionally, minimalist shoes aren’t very dressy when it comes time to impress in the evening!

Stepping over to Canada 411 is an ideal solution to solve your fashion versus function dilemmas where shoes or clothing is involved. There are many such cases where it is being noticed that it can be used by the people with any sex, but it basically goes with the comforts and design of the shoes.

The main emphasis on it tends to be more centric function than to its style. The most common among which is the Running shoes, that is very much similar to normal shoes but adds extra cushioning in it.

The Track spikes are also trend which involves the plastic or metal cleats with its light weight sole.

The cleat Shoe is also a type of shoe which is featuring the molded the studs. These are special shoes which are being worn by the sports players of the rugby, baseball or football.

The Golf shoes are the shoes which can be seen with the spikes and can be used to grip the grass and the wet ground.
The Bowling shoes are the other major kind of shoes which has made its place in between the ordinary dress shoes and the athletic shoes. These are made in manner not to damage the bowling alleys.

The other major varieties of shoes can be categorized under the Climbing shoes, Hiking shoes, Walking Shoes, Skating Shoes which comprises of the Ice skates, roller skates and Inline skates and to that of the Ski boat, Skate shoes, cycling shoes, snow shoe and the wrestling shoes.

These all athletic shoes are largely on the similar pattern though just depend upon on the situation and place where they can be wore. So, summarizing the athletic shoe is just depending upon its comfort pattern wherever it can be used.

There are various patterns of shoes which comprises of the Pointe shoes, ballet shoes, Ghillies, jazz shoes, Tango, Ballroom shoes, Dance sneakers, Character shoes and foot thongs.

These all patterns of shoes are variably being named on the kind of dance pattern they are being used into as you can see that the Pointe shoes are being designed by the ballet dancing. They have the toe box which is being stiffened to that of the glue and is being hardened so that the dancer can stand in the tips of the toes.

The demand of shoes is increasing very rapidly, now there is even foot wear fashion which is entertained by people. But for some people shoes are important than just the foot wear like for sports man, dancers etc.

Sometimes we see many people dancing better than another dancers and it is true in most of the cases but sometimes very talented dancers also failed to perform in best way because of shoes and also if the choice is wrong and dancer is not comfortable then dancer might hurt himself while performance.

If a dancer wears the specified shoes for specific dances like there are specially designed tap shoes for tap dancing, for salsa there are another kind of shoes and same with different dance. People should understand the importance of specific shoes, as if they wear especially designed shoes for dance it will add more stars to his performance.

Choosing of especially designed shoes is not an easy thing to do as well as there are lots of shoes which are available in the market and each one of them is better than another in some ways.

A dancer should choose shoes in which he is most comfortable which can give him pleasure while performance so that his expression also become good because no one can give expressions or perform for a long time when he is in pain.

When clothes and dress fashion developed through the years, foot wear also was an important part of common dressing. Clothes helped in protecting the body and skin of human, whereas shoe has the role of protecting our foot from sharp stones, thorns, cold and heat. It forms a barrier between the soft skin under our feet and the rough surface of the earth. Men have always progressed by observing the surroundings, learning from the different experiences in life, be it good or bad.

The most common material used for making shoes is leather. But now, with the innovation of new types of footwear that suits several occasions like fashion wear, sports and during adventures like hiking, trekking, etc. other materials started coming into foot wear manufacture like plastics, rubber and synthetic cloth. It is an interesting fact that due to the extensive use of shoes that fit our feet, the shape and size of bones of human toe started varying. Actually, tight foot wear led to toes becoming long and pointed, sometimes to absurd proportions.

The types and styles of shoes that is worn, differed with place, climate, gender, social status, profession or activity, just like clothes. Along with fashion of cloth, designing of new shoes also gained grandness. A shoe has a sole (insole, midsole and outsole), which is the lower part where our whole feet rests, a heel which is lower part that gives support to the heel of our foot, vamp- the upper part that helps in holding our feet to the shoes.

Earlier, most of the population around the world did not use shoes mainly because they could not afford it. And now it is not an irony when we say everyone uses at least a sandal even at home, starting from a one year old who just started walking!

In today’s world, the shoes worn by a man reflects his character. The historic record of the very first use of shoes dates back from 8000 to 7000 B.C.E in America. This finding was confirmed in the year 1938. Recently, in 2008, the world’s first leather shoe was found in a cave in Armenia which dates back to 3500 B.C.E. It had creases at the front and back, with a leather cord, the whole shoe made from a single piece of leather. The main feature of ice man’s shoe was that the main materials used for its build was the skins of bear and deer with a bark-string net that pulled tight around the foot.

A detailed study of human evolution led physical anthropologists to believe that the use of shoes began in the period between 40,000 and 26,000 years ago. This conclusion was based on the research that showed a decline in the thickness of toe bones, assuming that wearing shoes led to less bone growth, resulting in shorter and thinner toes. The initial designs of foot wear were similar to foot bags that covered the feet, protecting it from stones, heat and cold. Later, in middle ages, shoes with flaps or strings developed, which could help to tighten the shoes around the foot to make it perfect fit.

As countries around the world, especially Europe gained wealth, shoe designs began to look like fancy type making the toe of the wearer sharp and pointed. This grew even as a status symbol in the society then. Eventually the modern shoe with its sole sewn came into being since 17th century. Till around another decade, shoes were manufactured, without differentiating between the left and right leg, now known as ‘straight’ shoe.

Even when new materials like synthetic cloth, rubber, plastics, etc. started being used in shoes, still leather shoes are considered as the standard in dress shoes.

When it comes to finding the right clothing, you don’t want something that looks pretty but doesn’t fit well. It’s much better to find clothing that’s designed to fit you – instead of the other way around. With Apple Bottoms, that’s what you’ll get. They have great jeans, but they also have boots and shoes that are comfortable and classy. If you haven’t seen their clothing lines, it’s time that you took a good look at what they have to offer. It’s no fun to cram yourself into clothes that don’t fit you well and that you won’t care for. When you want to look good, you should also be able to feel good. Finding clothes that give you both is great.

Especially if you walk around all day or you have a job where you’re on your feet a lot, it’s important that you purchase the kind of shoes and boots that are going to fit your feet and their natural curves and contours. Too many shoe makers produce things that women are expected to stuff themselves into, instead of offering them options that they can enjoy and be comfortable in. What good are great looking shoes if they make your feet hurt after just a few minutes? You can’t look your best and have a great time if it hurts to walk around. Don’t sit things out when others are having fun.

Also, keep in mind that it’s not just footwear that should feel good. If the clothing that you’re putting on your body doesn’t fit your curves, you should find some that does. That’s part of the reason that Apple Bottoms are so popular – they fit you, instead of you having to try to fit into them. Enjoy the comfort that they give you, and now that you can look good and feel good at the same time. It’s hard to get more from clothing than that.

The importance of shoes has grown to such an extent that today, a person cannot think of going out of his house without a foot wear. Even at home, one prefers to wear rubber or plastic made foot wears to protect their feet from cold floors, dust and dirt. The modern style and trends in dress wears is never complete in its beauty and elegance, without a matching foot wear. Thus, mass production of different types of shoes in unique designs and varying colours give us plenty of choice to decide what to wear and when.

A person’s outward appearance, especially the way of dressing and outfit marks his or her personality. Dressing perfectly to the occasion (including apt selection of matching shoe type) is a skill that should undoubtedly be learned to give an extra sparkle to your presence, attracting the eyes around, forcing them to wonder who you are. There are different types of shoes for both men and women. Some leather shoes are suitable for both gender, however there are more variety styles for women like high heeled fancy party wears, sneaker boots, mules and sling backs.

The emergence of sports and games as part and parcel of an individual’s everyday life has opened the door for an entirely separate section of foot wear known as sports shoes, with its design emphasis on the function, rather than style. There are athletic shoes like running shoes, track spikes, cleats and shoes specially designed for certain games like golf, badminton, football, etc. and also specialized foot wears for adventurous uses like rock climbing, hiking, trekking, skiing, skating and even for wrestling.

Orthopaedic or ‘comfort’ shoes are also available with padded removable foot beds, wide toe boxes and arch support which are anatomically correct especially for people with problematic feet. Last, but not the least, there are separate type of shoes for dancers designed for ballet, tango, ball room shoes and tap shoes.

Shoes were originally made and used for protecting the feet of human from stones, dust, dirt, heat and cold. Now, it is an inevitable part of general clothing habits and seen as a symbol of style and comfort. It made a huge impact on the social and cultural thinking of men. The typical example is that in most of the countries around the world, showing the sole of the shoes is believed to be inappropriate and till today, the people of middle-east and Asian countries see throwing shoes or beating with shoes as the biggest insult.

At the beginning, foot wears were simple, made from single piece of leather that just covers the feet. Then slowly with increased demand for comfort, supporting structures like laces, buckles and straps were developed to be the part of modern shoes, that gave correct and comfortable fit to the feet. Shoe laces are mostly associated with formal leather shoes of men and sports shoes and those specialized for hiking, climbing, etc. Straps and buckles are mainly seen in all types of women’s foot wear, with an exception that some shoes do not have any secondary fitting, to respect the likes and choices of possible customers.

Over the years shoes have replaced the normal slippers that we often wear. They are useful in sports, office and just about everywhere.

The material content of the shoes also adds to the comfort of the wearer, especially that of the sole. An extra cushion is sometimes added to the insole to increase the comfort level.

Also, shoe accessories are like shoehorn, shoe tree, heel grip, shoe insert, shoe polish, etc. are used to increase the comfort level when wearing or using the shoes. In any case, shoes have become an unavoidable icon of style in day to day life.

A shoe is an item that is used to protect the human feet from harm while doing various activities. Since it is used to protect the feet, it is also called as footwear. Shoes are of various shapes and sizes depending on the requirement of the people. It is also made from different materials as per people’s needs. Almost everyone wears shoes.

The origin of shoes dates back several centuries ago. It was used by people since earlier times to protect their feet. The first shoe may have been some leaves bundled together and tied to the feet. Shoes improved both in shape and comfort along history. Today’s shoe is just an updated model of those ancient ones. The first kind of shoes was usually made from leather of animals cut into shape so as to fit the human feet. They were made to protect the feet from taking damage from rocks, twigs and other things while doing their daily activities.

Today’s shoe has improved a lot since old times. Earlier shoes were usually made of natural leather. But in the present day where animal hunting for leather is prohibited, various alternatives are used. Artificial leather, plastics, fiber and some other made stuffs are used to make shoes these days. The shape of the shoes has also changed. Today, shoes are manufactured based on the details of the user.

Today’s regular shoe has three parts. The sole, body of the shoe and shoe lace. The sole is the bottom most part of the shoe. It holds the shoe intact. The density and strength of the sole material is greater when compared to the body of the shoe because of the need to withstand weights and friction caused against the ground. The body comprises of the remaining part of the shoe. The shoelace is used to tighten the grip of the shoe to the feet when it is worn.

Shoe or footwear is an item used to protect the human feet. It is basically used to avoid damage to the feet while walking on the ground. It is made from strong materials to withstand the pressure and friction caused while walking on the ground. Though it can withstand up to a certain point, suitable care have to be taken so that it can last much longer.

Shoe maintenance must be done timely so that it remains intact. Shoe gets damaged quickly due to harsh use and other factors. The main problem is the shoe getting worn out. This happens due to prolonged use or when the shoe is hit against sharp objects when walking. To avoid this, care must be taken while walking so as not to hit such sharp objects. If in any case a tear is developed on the shoe, it must quickly be repaired before the tear gets larger.

Any damage to the sole cannot be repaired and have to be replaced. Apart from the damage part, shoe must be kept clean so that formation of germs can be avoided. So a shoe must be wiped clean externally daily and from the inside once in a few days. Shoe polish must be used to keep it clean and good looking. A shoe must not be soaked in water because most of the shoe today is made of leather. This is because leather develops fungi formation and gets torn when it is dipped in water.

There are some shoes that are made from plastics and other synthetic materials to withstand water. Such shoes must be worn in rainy seasons. If a shoe is soaked in water, it should be allowed to dry in sunlight. Otherwise it would develop a horrible smell that would be very hard to withstand.

An item worn on the feet to protect it from damage when walking is called a footwear or shoe. It is worn by people of all ages. It is manufactured in different shapes and sizes to fulfill the requirements of the people. The shoe materials also differ based on the type of shoe. The most common materials used to make a shoe are leather, plastic, fiber, synthetic materials. In some cases, mild glass is also used to make shoes.

There are various types of shoes worn today. While some shoes completely cover the feet even over the ankle, some covers up to the ankle and some cover only the base of the feet. The basic type of footwear is the one which covers only the bottom of the feet. These are normally called as slippers. They are held to the leg by a pair of straps which joins together at the front portion of the slipper. This type of footwear is not very secure to the feet as it can be removed easily with the slightest movement.

The other type of footwear fully covers the leg. It may be up to the ankle or even over the ankle. This type of footwear is made up of three parts namely sole, body and shoelace. This is the regular shoe worn by most men and women. The sole is the hard bottom part which can withstand weight and friction. The body makes up the remaining part of the shoe and the shoelace tightens the grip between the shoe and the leg. Unlike slippers, they cannot be detached easily without untying the lace.

The shoes worn by most women are different when compared to the regular laced footwear. These shoes will be made of synthetic materials and will not have a shoelace. Instead it has a large space in it when the leg fits.

Shoe is an item worn on the feet by people. It is mainly used to protect the feet. It is made of hard substances so it can withstand weight of the human body. There are many different types of shoes. They are laced, strapped, buckled and comfort type. All these types of shoes are made as per the request of the customers and it comes in various shapes and sizes so that it can fit into different people.

While some people prefer comfort in shoes, some go for lightweight. Depending on the type of people and area of living, shoes are made. For people who prefer secure hold of their feet, laced shoes is made. A laced shoe, as the name suggests will have a shoelace in it. A laced shoe is a basic type of shoe which has three parts. While the sole of the shoe is to withstand weight and the shoe body is to fit the leg, a lace is used to hold the shoe in place.

In a laced shoe, the shoelace is attached to the body of the shoe through a large number of holes. The both ends of the lace which are connected to the shoe body are used to hold the shoe to the leg. This is done either by knotting up both the ends or by tying them around the leg. The ends of both shoelaces are securely fitted into a tiny plastic covering. This plastic covering is used to protect the shoe lace from detaching. This part is called an aglet.

Laced shoes are still popular among the people. It is preferred by various men as a matching pair with suits. Most of the shoes worn by sportspersons are also laced. As sports involve extreme physical actions, laced shoes are preferred so that they don’t fall off.

Choosing shoes that are stylish and fashionable at the same time is a challenge that is rarely met without compromising on a few situations. Women wear dangerously high heels which have irreparable damage to the ankles, knees and the bones. High heels also cause the reproductive system of a woman to function improperly and develop back problems that last for a lifetime. Hence pencil heels need to be avoided. One of the most comfortable and almost stylish footwear you can find is loafer. Stylishness depends on how you look at it and how you wear it.

Loafers are long been used for the comfort they provide by pregnant women. It is not just for pregnant women’s use. Any women can use these shoes and add to their wardrobe collection. Loafers come in variety of colors and are found accessorized with various things. They can easily be modified by any person who likes to add a personalized touch. They can complement any dress. Any model who has used loafers will tell you there is no other footwear which comes close to the comfort loafers provide. Working women wear loafers to their offices and events. Loafers do not require socks along with them. They are perfect for a warm summer and can replace your uncomfortable boots. Loafers are also available in leather and other simple fabrics such as soft plastic and artificial nylon. Women interested in stylish loafers also have a lot of options to choose from. Price too is quite variable with shoes as low as a dollar to ones which range above hundred dollar. One of the most preferred loafers are the Washington loafer’s which are made of fabrics and are highly comfortable. Other favorite loafers are Moccasin loafers which are used as all day shoes by many women because of the incredible comfort they provide.

Short women to look stylish have to make sure they dress to the right proportions. Short women have a small level of making error with their dress sense. It is easy to cross the like of looking good to looking weird. When it comes to shoes, there are thousands of choices that short women with small feet can go for, but only a few of them look good on short women. Hence it is important to choose carefully and find that pair of flattering shoes.

What is a big no for short women is square toed shoes, ankle straps, heavy heels, chunky wedged shoes, ankle cuffs and a few others. What you can easily opt for are the ever classic pump shoes. These shoes will make short women appear longer and slimmer too. Pump shoes with pointed toes are preferred over rounded toes. The ramp of pump shoes needs to be V-shaped to add to that longer appearing look. The height of the heel needs to be proportional to the actual height and the shoes should not deliberately point out that you are short. And apart from that, heels that are too high will lead to injuries. If you are fat, then you will need to avoid heels that are fragile and delicate. Peep shoes go well with monochromatic dresses. They make the foot look longer along with the appearance of you being tall. If you have that costly pedicure that you are dying to show off, then you can go for these peep shoes. They are not fit for office use. Slingback sandals are other great option short women because of the delicate look they give to the feet. Even fat feet can look small in slingback shoes. Kitten heel slides are comfortable options for petites. The height of these shoes is about an inch from the ground.

Shoe lovers love shoes! Shoes are not a good choice to buy as they need to be fitted to be comfortable but there are numerous novelty gift ideas to give the shoe lover. Gifts can be classified into three main groups, practical, whimsical and elegant.

Practical ideas include gift certificates, calenders and books featuring shoe themes and key chains with shoe charms. There are purses in shoe shapes and scarves or sweaters with shoe designs printed on them. Practical ideas are good because they have a useful function as well as catering to the zany charm of shoes.

Whimsical ideas cover the novelty range. Almost anything goes here and if the gift is meant as a token or intended for the collector, then this is a great way to go. From collectable miniature shoes to gourmet chocolates in shoe designs, these cute little replicas will find a home in any shoe lover’s heart. Consider cell phone charms or even a phone in a shoe shape. Jewelry boxes and jewel stands are a firm favorite.

Finally there are the elegant choice of shoe gifts. These are for those who want to buy something of value and with a more sentimental and lasting flair. Jewelry with shoe themes are very popular such as the Roberto Coin designer collection featuring a number of different shoes on a necklace. More pricey than novelty gifts they have the classic style and endurance that will stand the test of time.

No matter what you budget or the reason for the gift, you can always find an appropriate gift in a shoe theme. They can be both fun and practical at the same time or just amusing novelties. Whatever the occasion, there is a shoe gift idea to match it.

Choosing a dress for a prom is never easy. Be it choosing for yourself or your daughter or even your granddaughter. It is like a puzzle which can only be solved after about a few hundred dress try outs where only the last dress is the perfect one. But you can make the part of choosing a pair of shoes easier by following these rules that will help you make the right decision and avoid a fashion faux.

For a prom dress the dress, nails, make-up, hair, all need to be perfect. And the shoes need to complement them all. A wrong pair of shoes can ruin the rest of the things, no matter how perfect they are. Without a decent pair of matching shoes, the entire preparation is not just worth it. What you need to prioritize while looking a pair of decent shoe is “YOU”. Rather than going for the ongoing fashion and style statement, you need to look for what looks best on you. Trends and fashion keep coming and going, what stays timeless is “YOU”. Trends although are widely acceptable, they do not mean they suit you perfectly. First thing when choosing a shoe no matter what kind, is for it to be of your feet size. Do not try to squeeze a 7 in a 4 or vice versa. You do not want to fall on your face trying to balance in those uncomfortable shoes and ruin your entire evening. If your dress ends till your feet, you can go for formal shoes, no will notice. You need to make a statement with an ideal pair of shoes that add to your appearance without taking anything from it. Everyone comes to a prom with the intention of judging. So with your shoes and dress, you can show what you stand for.

Shoe addicts with blister ridden feet cannot tell the difference between comfortable and intense pain inducing shoes. Only if you ask a true fashion critic will you know what their most preferred brands are. Here are a set of highly preferred brands that are light on the pocket and comfortable too. And of course they are good looking.

The shoes mentioned here are not arranged according to random designer’s choice and not according to ranks. Keds is one of the most preferred brands of shoes that are slightly discomforting but make up for the style statement. Many celebrities shamelessly flaunt Keds shoes such as Mischa Barton. Keds produce shoes that range from ballet flats to sneakers. The range is amazingly wide. Another brand of shoes that are favorite among the fashion critics and users alike are Skechers. These shoes are favorites of celebrities such as Britney Spears and Spice Girls. These celebrities vie for the comfort and style that these shoes provide. Saucony are one of the most sought after shoes. These shoes come in variety of colors and have the magical ability to brighten up any dress. Cheeks are the opposite of high cost branded uncomfortable shoe brands. Cheek’s shoes are well designed, affordable and cute. Another to die for factor in these shoes is the ability of the shoes to correct your posture. Birkenstock makes sandals that are to die for. The sandals are incredibly comfortable and cross the jesus/hippie line. The variety is breath defying. A. J. Valenci shoes are very old shoes trend currently in fashion. These shoes are heaven for your feet. Aerosoles makes shoes for comfort first and then add fashion on top. The shoes are available in office and club styles. Reebok are another punk favorite that are soft on the feet and are the favorites of hip hop stars.

Shoes cover our feet and protect them from external damages. So maintaining the shoes we use in turn maintains our foot. The shoe maintaining process needs a variety of shoe accessories which provides comfort and shape as well as keeps the shoes clean which reduces the chances of causing foot infections. The accessories vary in cost, but a healthy body includes a healthy foot too.

Accessories used for maintaining purposes are shoehorn which is used to insert a foot into the shoe comfortably. It also provides a smooth surface for the foot to slide into the shoe. This will neither damage the shoe nor damages the foot. Another item is a shoe tree which is used to keep inside the shoe, while the shoe is not being worn. This is for maintaining the shape of the shoe. Galoshes are another kind of accessory used for the external protection of shoe like snow and rain. To avoid the slipping of shoes, a heel grip is provided. Orthopedic or show insert is a material used inside the shoes for providing shape and comfort for the foot. Shoe stretcher stretches the shoes in length for the comfortable size and a shoe bag is used to protect the shoes while they are not used. Shoes are of different kinds which can be used in different seasons like we prefer boots in winter season, open shoes and shoes made of cotton material are much in use at summer season, we use good water resistant shoes for rainy season and so on. The shoes are characterized by some of its features like material used in the shoe, its fashion, the style and of course the price. Shoes are also available for using in different events like dance, athletic or to use as a uniform part in schools, offices etc. Shoe is thus now an important accessorizing element like any other accessories such as watches, wallets or the hand bags.

Choosing a shoes for that morning jog might not be as easy as going an picking the shoes which match your track suit. Shoes for running have a lot more to them other than just the color and size. The kinds of shoes are as varying as the number of uses and various games. You need to figure out what exactly will you need the shoes for. You could consult fitness experts who can suggest you a pair of shoes based on your running style and the shape of your feet.

A good running shoe should smoothen horizontal running. Running shoes should be half an inch bigger than your feet. This excess space is to accompany the pressure on the toes while running. Most running shoes have a raised ankle, so as to reduce the pressure on the toes on impact. In order to decide on a perfect running shoe, you will need to identify your running style. Check out where exactly do your feet touch the ground. Find out if your hind feet touch the ground on the inside of the fore foot or on the outside of the heel. If you run with touching your hind feet first with the ground, then you need a shoe that has more cushioning near the hind feet. Another important part of choosing a shoe it to find a shoe which fits the arch of the foot. A badly shaped foot can cause injuries to our foot. Some shoe stores have a wet test, that will test the way you walk and run and also the arch of your foot. Another tip for choosing shoes is to buy shoes late in the day. The blood swells up feet in the night, hence it is avoidable to buy shoes in the day time.

A shoe is an item of footwear which is used as an outer covering for foot. It protects and comforts the human foot while doing various activities. There are different designs of shoes available in the market and it has varied from time to time and culture to culture. Shoes have become much stylish and fashionable than before. With the fashion, the design elements of shoes have also changed like before we get only flat shoes in market and now small heels, mid heels and high heels are in fashion. Likewise block heels, flats and boots are also used by almost all the youngsters now. Shoes are traditionally made using canvas, wood or leather but now petrochemical derived materials, plastic, rubber are also used. Even the jute and cotton type material is used for shoe making which increases the cost to be very high.

Parts of a shoe which helps in making it strong are the Sole: which is the bottom of a shoe, insole-the main part of the shoe which is lined in the interior and this absorbs the foot sweat keeping the comfort level of our foot neutral and giving a proper shape and position to the legs. Outsole: It is the layer which is directly in contact with the ground and it protects from external things like stone, glass pieces, rocks etc. The Heel: Which corrects and supports the position of the heel of foot, vamp-it helps the shoe to hold on to the foot. The materials used for making parts of the shoe vary.

Shoes can be maintained by polishing it; this is done for leather shoes and boots often used to clean the water content or the dust in shoes. Sanitization is done inside of shoes using some germicidal shoe trees or other cleansing methods to prevent the odor causing bacteria and to stop the growth of microorganisms.

Your feet often indicates your general health. Improperly fitted shoes can raise health problems for you and hence proper care should be taken while buying new shoes. Improper shoes hurt your feet as well as it creates knee problems. It also causes bunions, pain and deformed toes. Swollen ankles can indicate heart related problems, cold feet may be a sign of circulatory disease and more are on way. Studies prove that wearing of high heels for women causes much trouble like the Achilles of tendon shortens and causes a loss in the range of motion of your feet. They also suffer from severe heel pain, which causes bad back pain giving them disc problem in the hips. It is also dangerous for ladies who are conceiving. Wearing the wrong shoes also creates foot infections. So it is very important to buy shoes that fit properly as well as suits your foot. It is to notice that the shoes you buy are fit for you and it should be a type which eliminates your foot pain and gives you comfort.

While selecting shoes try wearing both pair of shoes because the size of both of your legs can vary and usually the one which fits the larger foot is bought. Walk a little to make sure they are the correct size you wanted and also it is comfortable. Your feet might be slightly larger in the day time and it is the correct time to buy shoes for you. Do not buy a tight pair of shoes as it might create a pain later on. Always try to get shoes that have rounded toes which will allow your toes a room to wiggle. The pointed shoes often create overlapped toes with severe pain. While your feet are paining exercises can be done to lessen the pain such as stretching your feet which in turn stretches your Achilles tendon which reduces the pain.

A variety of shoes are available in the market but we would not have given much time to find out what are the varieties and who are those made for. The comfort we get while wearing the shoes, boosts up your confidence to walk around. Hence the type of shoe we choose must be according to the event.

Men’s shoes are always categorized in the way how the shoe is closed. There are balmorals in which the vamp is sloshed in a V-shape slit and laces are attached to it. Lacing provides the shoe to be fit to the foot as well as provides support for the shoes. Another type of men’s shoes is derby which is also called as open lacing. In this the laces are tied to two pieces separately and connected with the vamp. A buckle and strap is also provided for the shoes for the support and comfort of the foot. This type of shoe is called monk straps. Slipons are another type of shoes which has no lacing or buckles and is used for casual wear.

Women shoes are mainly categorized as high heeled footwear in which the footwear raises the heel providing heel support as well as height to the foot, sneaker boots which is a variety of boot but with heels provided, mules which are backless that is no lacing is provided in the heels, ballet flats typically used for casual purposes with no heels or short heels.

In addition to this shoes are used for dance purposes like the pointer shoes designed for ballet dance, ghillies used for Irish dance, jazz shoes especially for jazz, tango shoes for tango dance, and likewise there are more and more varieties. The athletic shoes include running shoes, balling shoes, climbing shoes, skating shoes, walking shoes and so on. The varieties in shoes never come to an end and the demand for them is increasing like any other wearing item.
